The past few months have disrupted a lot of people’s lives. We went from living our “norm” to suddenly finding ourselves worried if we will keep our jobs, how to deal with the kids adjusting to virtual learning, and how to keep everyone in our family from getting sick. There have been so many changes in your everyday routine, that there are times you feel stressed, overwhelmed, mentally exhausted, and questioning what the future holds . While several months have passed since we were quarantined, it’s not uncommon to feel as though you’re still processing everything that has happened.
You may still be adjusting to your new work routine or accepting that you can’t see your friends and family like you used to. Perhaps your kids aren’t handling not being able to go to school or see their friends very well either, which is impacting you. While you may not feel quite comfortable coming into the office yet, you can still get the help you need.

From there, our specialized counselors will go above and beyond to provide a space where you feel comfortable opening up and expressing your feelings.
Here at Friends In Transition Counseling we do our best to ensure that whether you are online or in person, you feel connected to your therapist. We are careful about creating a noise-free, distract free environment so that our sessions are 100% focused on you and your needs. This means that we have chosen reliable and confidential platforms to meet (such as Zoom and Google Meet), we are camera-ready but judgement free and always have good lighting so that we can see one another. We also know that life is rather unpredictable right now so we are prepared to pivot to phone or other methods of communication if technology doesn’t cooperate.

Research shows that online therapy is an effective treatment. In fact it can be more convenient because it can be done from the comfort of your own home. If you feel like you need to talk to someone now, why continue to put it off if you don’t have to? Online therapy is a great alternative, and once we feel it is safe to meet face to face again, you are welcome to join us for your session in our office!
Can I do Couples Therapy online?
Of course! We offer Individual Counseling, Couples Therapy, Family Therapy, and Teen Counseling online.
