Meet the Team

my story

Meagé Clements

Hi, I’m Meagé Clements, a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical who enjoys working with children, teens, adults and their families. My specialities include supporting clients with managing overwhelming emotions, improving their executive functioning, and improving their relationships with others.

Educational Background

I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and DBT-Prolonged Exposure (DBT-PE). My goal is to help you stop feeling stuck and overwhelmed and start guiding you to living a life of pleasure and satisfaction.

My Journey To Becoming a Therapist

I’m no different from the clients I see. Like everyone else, I’m human and my own growth through personal life struggles is what shapes who I am and how I support others.

As a child, I was not familiar with the benefits of seeking mental health support unless something “bad” happened. Like many others, I relied on avoidance and other unhealthy coping strategies to manage my emotions. I was not able to put words to my own mental health challenges until I met with the first therapist I felt seen and heard by. I was so interested in how someone, who began as a stranger, was able to validate my emotions and acknowledge the intersections of my identity and life experiences. I hoped to one day become that same support for others.

I approach therapy and my work with clients with compassion and without judgment, as I know how difficult it can be to seek and accept support from others. I am passionate about supporting clients in practicing self-compassion, challenging perfectionism, setting healthy boundaries with others, and prioritizing their physical and mental health.

Being a therapist is such an honor. I love helping people learn to be their empowered and authentic selves and enjoy witnessing clients working towards achieving the life they want. The most rewarding part about being a therapist is seeing a person implement the skills we’ve discussed to support them in living more fulfilling lives.

I have genuine compassion and curiosity for people and their lived experiences and bring a supportive and encouraging energy to sessions.

I have a natural ability to:

  • Empathize with people’s experiences
  • Accept others for who they are and in their current life circumstances
  • Help clients heal from their past and manage the present
  • Be flexible on the path of personal discovery and healing

People who know me often say I am a good listener with a calm demeanor who is able to be fully present for people’s stories.
