My Journey To Becoming a Clinical Director
I’m no different from the clients I see. Like everyone else, I’m human. I’ve been been through both wonderful and difficult experiences that have shaped who I am and how I help.
As a young adult, I had the good fortune of working in the financial district after graduating from college. This was an incredibly rewarding experience, however, things shifted significantly after I watched the Twin Towers go up in smoke on 9/11. Talking with my mother, who also was working in the area and vividly recalls seeing scores of people who did not make it, I knew where my true calling was. My heart has always been in serving and helping others find peace and calm during times of crisis and turmoil.
My life experiences are what lead me to become the Clinical Director I am today.
Helping people I love negotiate difficult situations and watching their growth and evolution is what motivate me!
Being a Clinical Director is inspiring, I love helping people become healthier and more empowered. My motivation comes from witnessing people achieve more fulfilling lives. The most rewarding thing about being a Clinical Director is giving hope when people feel hopeless.
I am committed to encouraging you to see healing and transformation. I have a strong pull towards helping and bring an open, non-judgmental presence to sessions.
I have a natural ability to:
- Uncover what’s under the surface
- Inspire hope for getting better
- Accept people for who they are and in their current life circumstances
- Help clients heal their past and manage the present
People who know me often say that I am a good listener who can help people through difficult and stressful times.
Our Sessions Are Focused On You
In our sessions I will provide you with the a safe and comfortable space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and goals.
It’s important to me to provide a non-judgmental space so you can be your most authentic self as we explore and discuss what you want your life to look like, what goals you’d like to achieve, and how we can work together to reach them. There isn’t a “one size fits all” approach to providing counseling, so I tailor our sessions to fit your specific needs and concerns.
As A Clinical Director, I Embrace The Following Philosophies
- I believe that you deserve to feel better
- I believe that survivors are not what happened to them
- I believe that emotions heal when they are witnessed and validated
- I believe that change is possible when you allow yourself the space to do the work
- I believe that people underestimate their ability to change. It’s possible to change. It’s possible to enjoy life again.
